The City of Aparecida, popularly
The City of Aparecida, popularly known as Aparecida do Norte, is located in the interior of São Paulo and is a highlight in world religious tourism, receiving more than 12 million tourists and pilgrims every year. In the city is the National Shrine with the image of Our Lady of Conception Aparecida, found by fishermen in the Paraíba do Sul River in 1717.
