2024년 서울패션위크 다녀왔습니다~💗

새로운 것을 만들기 위해 또 다른 쓰레기를 만들지 않고 지금 있는 것들을 다시 쓰는 근본적인 측면의 업사이클링 방식으로 컬렉션을 접근했다. 품질에 이상이 없는데도 시즌 변화로 방치되거나 과잉 생산된 오버스톡(Overstock)원단과 트렌드 변화와 수출 감소 등의 이유로 매립, 소각될 데드스톡(Dead stock) 원단과 부자재에 디자이너의 가치를 불어넣어 새로운 컬렉션을 준비했다. 이번 시즌은 과잉 생산된 레더 소재를 활용해 HOLY NUMBER 7만의 스타일로 스트리트 무드를 표현해 보았다. 사용한 원단들과 부자재도 기본적으로 재활용 소재와 친환경 소재를 최대한 활용하여 옷을 만들었다. IDENTITY, 정체성에 대한 고찰을 통해 스스로가 주체가 되어 더욱 단단해진 기반으로 '반항’보단 '저항’, '부정'보단 '긍정'의 키워드를 가지고 입는 사람의 언어가 되는 선한 스트리트 컬처 브랜드를 만들어 가고자 한다.

In their pursuit of innovation while minimizing waste, HOLY NUMBER 7 adopted an upcycling approach for their collection, repurposing existing materials. This season, surplus leather was used to create street-inspired designs in their distinctive style. HOLY NUMBER 7 developed a new collection using overstock and deadstock fabrics that would otherwise be discarded due to seasonal shifts or export reductions, despite their quality. Through the integration of the designer's vision, they revitalized these materials, emphasizing recycled and eco-friendly components. HOLY NUMBER 7 aims to establish a positive street culture brand by encouraging reflection on identity, individual empowerment, and embracing keywords like 'resistance' over 'rebellion,' and 'positivity' over 'negation.’

ASTRO DUST
Astro Dust, 즉 Cosmic Dust 는 우주 행성의 충돌 등으로 인한 파편 조각들의 무리로 그들 간에는 작고 큰 충돌이 쉴세없이 일어나며 가스가 발생되고 있습니다. 그러나 아이러니하게도 원거리에서 이를 바라보면 충돌로 인한 가스로 인해 아름다운 구름의 형상을 나타나며, 이러한 충돌 속에서 새로운 별이 탄생하게 됩니다.역사의 흐름 속에서도 서로 다른 개체들이 모여 피할수 없는 크고 작은 충돌이 발생합니다. 하지만 원거리 시야를 가지고 이 충돌들이 서로를 파멸시키지 않도록 아름답게 균형과 조화를 이루며 융합하고자 할때, 이는 더나은 새로운 단계로의 발전을 준비하는 변환점이 될 수 있다는 메세지를 전달하고자 합니다.

Astro Dust, or Cosmic Dust, is a group of pieces of debris caused by collisions of space planets, and small and large collisions constantly occur between them, generating gas. But ironically, when you look at it from a distance, the gas from the collision creates a beautiful cloud shape, and in this collision, new stars are born. Even in the flow of history, different entities come together and unavoidable conflicts, large and small, occur. However, I would like to convey the message that when we have a long-distance perspective and try to fuse these conflicts in beautiful balance and harmony so that they do not destroy each other, this can be a turning point that prepares us for development to a new, better level.

Artemis’s‘Hwatu’ (花鬪) | War of flowers
한국이 일본 강점기에 들어온 이 '꽃들의 싸움'이라고 해석하는 '화투'는 우리 민족의 슬픔을 잠시나마 잊게 해주는 놀이로, 기나긴 역사를 통해 이는 포르투갈의 'Carta' 카드놀이에서 비롯된 것으로 추정됩니다. 디자이너 모니카고는 화투가 할머니의 아침 운세로 사용되었던 추억이 남아있으며, 한국인들에게는 명절에 가족들이 모이는 즐거운 카드놀이입니다. 24 F/W Collection은 한국의 민화, 민화투와 그리스신화의 아르테미스에서 영감을 받아 메종 너하고 만의 독창적인 스토리로 재해석합니다. 이 컬렉션은 동시대의 사회적 문제로 부각되고 있는 이스라엘의 전쟁과 약자에 대한 문제를 다루며, 한국의 대표적인 카드놀이인'민화투'를 패셔너블한 아이템으로 소개하고자 합니다.

The 'fight of flowers,' interpreted as 'Hwatu' during the Japanese occupation of Korea, is a game that momentarily distracts from the sorrow of our nation. It is speculated to have originated from the Portuguese card game called 'Carta.' For me as a designer, Hwatuholds memories of my grandmother predicting the morning fortune with the cards, and for Koreans, it is a delightful card game played during holidays. The 24 F/W Collection draws inspiration from Korean folk paintings, Hwatu, and the Greek mythology figure Artemis. It reinterprets these elements into Maison Nica's unique story. This collection aims to shed light on contemporary social issues, particularly focusing on the Israeli war and the challenges faced by the vulnerable. Additionally, it seeks to present the iconic Korean card game, 'Hwatu,' as fashionable items.

Snowfalls in Africa
추운 겨울이되면 아프리카의 대자연과 뜨거운 햇살 신비로운 문화의 풍부함과 다양성을 보여주는 미지의 세계로 항상 여행을 떠나는 상상을 한다. 아프리카의 전통 아트와 기법에서 영향을 받은 패턴과 컬러로 기하학 모티브들을 활용해서 모티브들을 단순화 시키거나 그래픽이 다른 패턴들의 꼴라주 기법, 원색 컬러 대비의 사용으로 명료한 화면과 클래식과 캐주얼한 무드로 다양한 스타일의 변화 추구한다. 미지의 세계인 아프리카의 가장 위대한 자연과 문화를 그리디어스 만의위트있게 재해석하여 그리디어스만의 스타일링으로 아프리카의 여행을 초대한다.

When the cold winter comes, I always imagine traveling to the unknown world of Africa that comprises the richness of its great nature, the hot blazing sun, and the diversity of mysterious cultures. The simplified motifs use geometric patterns and colors influenced by traditional African art and techniques. Collage methods utilizing various graphic patterns and color contrasts of jeweled tonesfound in African art are also used to deliver vivid and clear designs to pursue changes in styles that vary from classic to casual moods. We invite you to travel to Greedilous' witty reinterpretation of the great nature and culture of Africa, to the unknown world, with Greedilous' own unique styling.
