These stall bars are going to be installed in a high-traffic room, so while serving a purpose they also need to look beautiful.

Step 1 -  The lumber yard
Step 2 - Planer for the upright plank. This large piece will be cut down into our 2 uprights.
Step 3 - Brett made a jig to cut holes for every cross member. Next, the drill bit was used to drill the holes where the cross members will attach to the uprights.
Step 4 - Prepping the crossbar sections. We have 3 shorter woodcuts that Brett's sending through the planer to level. Next, he's slicing them down on the table saw. Another run through the planer and they are ready to be squared up.
Step 5 - The cross members have been planed & need to be squared up on the table saw. Then, each piece will get a pass through the router table. These cross members are oval in shape for ease of grip & installation.
Step 6 - The cross members need to be trimmed, sanded, and drilled. We have 17 total & plan on installing 14. Table saw sled to trim all the ends. Then, a full sanding of each piece. Next, Brett made a router jig to drill the hole for the hardware.
Step 7 - First, we finished drilling the crossbar ends for the hardware. Then, a router bit change and jig adjustment. Next, Brett has 17 crossbar ends to shape. These will slide into the upright cuts he made earlier.
Step 8 - We're trying to make installation as easy as possible.
In this step, we're adding thread inserts to the crossbar ends. The crossbars will sit into the uprights and accept cap screws from the outside.
Step 9 - Plane & square the pieces we're cutting the wall attachment sections from. Eleanor designed the top bar section & we made a template based on her drawings. After the template was cut, Brett traced it and headed to the bandsaw. Router table to refine the shape.
Step 10 -  4 attachment pieces are needed to secure the stall bars to the wall. We made a template for the shape & are cutting them with the table saw & band saw.
Step 11 - The wall attachments will need a small groove for a secure attachment. They are getting predrilled and treads in place for the wall mount connectors.
Step 12 - Glue the wall mount attachments & top bar extensions to the uprights.
Step 13 - Making the wall mounts. We'll have 2 large bars to anchor to the wall. The uprights have the wall attachment points mounted and ready to go. Table saw to cut the pieces to fit. Drill the connection points. Router for a clean look. Sanding to a final finish.
Step 14 - A router pass on the uprights, a final water pop, and sanding. We're finally ready to coat the bars and get ready for installation.
Step 15 - A final Rubio Monocoat to seal the uprights, crossbars, and wall mounts.
Step 16 - The Assembly & Installation.

As always Thank you so much for watching our progress!
