This is an in-depth look at a few skidplates as well as how to install the MOD skidplate manufactured by Motooverland.com. I've had this plate on since 2010 when my BMW plate was destroyed by a big rock hit. Currently my MOD plate is still going strong after a lot of good impacts. I'm also happy with the toolbox, with my only caveat being that I only place items in there that can stand getting a little damp as the box is not submersible and we do get silly with deep water crossing once in a while! The nicest part of this plate aside from the great protection is that after the initial install it is removable in about 1 minute using 2 sockets. All the MOD stuff is manufactured in Canada. I've spoken to the nice folks there as well as a few e-mails and they are a very responsive, nice folks. The product has seen a few minor improvements since I bought mine so it should be even better now.
