This webinar by the CGIAR Platform for Big Data in Agriculture Crop Modeling Community of Practice will present selected outputs from big data analysis of four decades of international wheat yield data.
The session features three panelists with the following presentations:
-Azam Lashkari, Postdoctoral Researcher, CIMMYT-China Wheat and Maize Joint Research Centre, Henan Agricultural University: Optimal temperature response functions to simulate wheat yield across the globe
-Carlo Montes, Agricultural Climatologist, International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center: Estimating wheat canopy temperature from meteorological data: A multi-location approach
-Wei Xiong, Senior Scientist, International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center, Sustainable Intensification Program: Increased ranking change in wheat breeding under climate change
