This little racing car was made by BAFCO of Alford.  While it is similar to their 1990s Grand Prix Racing Car ride, there are some distinct differences so it's possible that this was an earlier version released soon after Bafco was founded in the '80s.  It had probably been on Teignmouth Pier since then, but was sadly destroyed by the February 2014 storms, to the best of my knowledge (unless it had been sold previously, as I know some of their rides had been).   While the car was obviously faded and weather worn, it had retained its original colour scheme and, besides being mute, operated pretty much as it would have done when new.  A very sad loss for amusement arcade historians.
