The University of Rwanda Auditorium - Huye Campus was lit up with flashing lights, as it hosted the province's representatives in the Miss Rwanda 2014 beauty pageant and one who would take over as Miss Southern Province.
Seven girls battled it out for a slot in the national beauty pageant but only three would make it through after impressing a panel of judges.
Belise Hitayezu was crowned Miss Rwanda 2014 - Southern Province. She was followed by Mouna Dukunde who emerged as first runner-up and Lydia Kayitesi who emerged second runner-up.
