I've taken apart my radio to replace the LCD back lighting that is a known problem for these Pontiac radios. I've tried to do the best I an at explaining this relatively simple process. The only two things I did not get on video was the actual soldering in and out of the new and old bulbs. Easy enough all you have to do is hold the soldering iron against the solder beads on the back of the circuit board and wiggle the bulb free. Once free you can repeat the process by holding the iron in the same place and shimming in the new bulb. I was able to complete this without adding any new solder.

As a followup, because I don't yet know how to merge videos, I have posted another video of the Radio now working with fully lit LCD screen.

Bulbs I used were bought a Radio Shack They are Krypton Gas 12v - 50ma Bi-Pin Lamps. Similar in size but slightly smaller than the originals.
(The part no# at Radio Shack is 272-1154)
