The new metro line from Krishnarajapura to Whitefield in Bengaluru is getting a great response from the public. After the inauguration by PM Narendra Modi, the commercial operations started on March 26.

People working in several IT companies started using the service from Monday, March 27.

The 13.71 km long stretch has 12 stations. To travel from Krishnarajapura to Whitefield, a ticket costs Rs 35.

Several commuters are concerned about the incomplete link between Baiyyappanahalli and Krishnarajapura station. While BMTC has arranged for feeder buses between the stations, there is some confusion over how to use the service.

On the opening day, the stretch recorded a ridership of 16,319 till 6 PM.
The ridership is expected to steadily increase in the coming days.
