We ship sale barn calves bought from Tennessee and northern Alabama.  We ship everything from roping calves to 850 Lb, weaned, black steers.  We process them the way you say for $1.50/head.  These calves walk on the truck with a full belly.  Common shrink from pay weight is 2%-3%. We have unloaded calves heavier than the pay weight.
