With about a dozen apartments still up for grabs, a 67-unit $20.7 million affordable senior citizens housing complex with views of the Manhattan skyline and Verrazano-Narrows Bridge will open this month on Bay Street in Stapleton.
The six-story high-rise at 533 Bay St. -- designed to help fill the void of affordable senior housing in the borough -- is being financed by low income housing tax credits, and is part of $95 million in awards that Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced in 2014.
