This amazing one owner 1973 Jaguar E-Type V12 Roadster w/ hard top and 7,853 original miles is one of the best survivors known to exist. This car had closed headlight conversion in 1974 with original parts which was unheard of during that timeframe and is documented with receipts that are included. A Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate #68092 was issued on December 2, 2020 and is included. The car was certified in December of 2020 by Jaguar E-Type V12 expert Stew Jones of Stew Jones Restoration and a signed letter of validation is included. Over 30 pieces of original documentation and 15 pieces of original miscellaneous items are included. The car retains its desirable original color combination of a Silver exterior and Black interior. This car was ordered with tinted glass, chrome wire wheels, radial tires, air conditioning, stereo and 4-speed manual transmission which is documented on the original Bill of Sale that is included. The original hard top was purchased at the selling dealer new which is also documented on the original Bill of Sale that is included. The car is powered by the original matching numbers 5.3L V12 engine with 4-speed manual transmission. This car is extremely original throughout and a wonderful example. Their only original once!

This car retains its original metal VIN tag on the driver’s windshield pillar, original VIN tag on the driver’s side door jam and the original body tag on the engine firewall. All of these tags are in excellent original condition.

The exterior of this car is in extremely nice original condition. As mentioned above this car has a closed headlight conversion in 1974 which was unheard of during that timeframe. To complete the closed headlight conversion some minor bodywork had to be completed at the front of the bonnet. The Jaguar dealership did a very nice job making it all work. The body of this car is very nice throughout. When these bodies left the factory they weren’t straight with perfect gaps.

The black interior of this car is also in extremely nice original condition. It’s amazing to think it’s almost 50 years old and all original. Nothing in the interior has been replaced or removed. The sun visors feel great and don’t fall down. The rear view mirror only shows slight patina on the outer edge. The dash, gauges, switches and knobs are in excellent condition. The glovebox opens and closes so nicely. The steering column still has the factory paint marks and sticker from the factory towards the lower section. The steering wheel is in beautiful condition with hardly any signs of wear. The VIN tag on the driver’s door jam is in beautiful condition. The Ziebart Auto Rust Proofing black tabs are in different locations in the door jams. The gasket on the driver’s side rocker was replaced because the original one tore when the original owner hit it with his foot.

The trunk compartment of this car is also in extremely nice original condition.

The engine compartment of this car is also in extremely nice original condition. The chrome interior bonnet locking knobs fit and turns so nicely operating. The backside of the bonnet still retains original paint and the original emissions control sticker. The inner fenders of the bonnet were sprayed with black Ziebart Auto Rust Proofing when the car was new as documented. Some of the Ziebart overspray got on the lower engine compartment in various areas throughout. The firewall also retains original paint and the minor chips show red primer. The body tag on the firewall is in beautiful condition. It still retains all the factory paint marks and stickers throughout.

The undercarriage of this car is also in extremely nice original condition. It still retains the yellow factory inspection paint mark under the engine area. It also retains mostly all original parts.
