Jonathan Majors trial continues in NYC

STORYLINE:
The criminal trial of actor Jonathan Majors continued on Tuesday. He was charged last spring for allegedly assaulting his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, during an argument. Jabbari was testifying before the jury on Tuesday morning.

The prosecution and the defense offered competing versions during opening statements on Monday of a violent confrontation in the backseat of a car that led to assault charges against the film star and put his rapid Hollywood ascent on pause.

Majors was arrested in March on charges of misdemeanor assault and harassment. Prosecutors say Majors grabbed Jabbari’s hand so hard he fractured her middle finger, then twisted her arm behind her back and struck her on the side of the head.

His attorneys have maintained that Jabbari was the aggressor.
