"True Promise" (Sachcha Waada)

VERSE 122: And those who attain faith in Quranic Guidance and do beneficial deeds (Aml e saleh) would soon be admitted in gardens (Jannat) which have flowing waters beneath them, wherein they will abide forever. God's promise is (always) true. And who is truer narrator than God?

EXPLANATORY NOTE:  Faith in Quranic Guidance (Eimaan) and beneficial deeds (Aml e Saleh) comes together in Quran at many places. This emphasises that having faith alone on Quranic Guidance does not serve the purpose.  We can not claim that we  submit to Quranic Guidance unless we PRACTICE it. Hence it is utmost important for us to UNDERSTAND Quran. Once our faith is manifested in our good deeds, we are on the path of submission and this moulds our inner self (Nafs) into a submissive self which alone would be admitted to Gardens. (26/88-89).

LESSON: We must submit to Quranic Guidance in totality (as all Prophets did). And for that we should read Quran like a text book, prepare notes, jot down dos and don'ts and keep revising till it sinks in. All our decisions should be taken in the light of Quran otherwise we will not be 'Muslim' ( One who submits to divine Commands in totality) but ' Kaafir' ( One who rejects Divine Commands). (5/44).

VERSE 123: It ( The Judgement) will not be as per your wishful thinking or desires (or according to the guarantees of those seers you followed throughout your life) or as per the wishful thinking and desires of the People of the Book ( Ahlil Kitab). Whoever does evil would get the due return and he will not find for himself  any patron or helper ( as he was made to believe by his masters) ,other than God.

EXPLANATORY NOTE: The Day of Judgement is a very important event oft repeated in Quran. Faith (Eimaan) is not completed if we do not believe in the Day of Judgement. It is the Day when each of us will get  returns of all the deeds, good or bad, trivial or major we did in this world. That makes it a day which should always be remembered and all of us must keep it in mind that whatever we do, is being accounted. As satan arouses false hopes, desires and wishful thinking in people (4/119,120), it has trapped them in believes like they are chosen people, or the idea of intercession. Some believe that the one who has recited 'Shahada' or is follower of the Last Prophet will be admitted to Jannat. This verse and many others in Quran (2/48; 39/44) reject all these believes. No injustice will be done to anyone and we all will reap what we have sown.

LESSON: We must keep an eye on every thing we do, speak or think. God has sent guidance that covers every aspect and sphere of our entire life span. We can't afford to ignore or bypass it.
