With all the interest in my newly released AOS Falcon 7 frame I decided to have another go at a build video. From mounting your motors and GPS to soldering up the ESC and flight controller I'll show you everything I know about building a long range FPV drone. **READ THIS** (about iFlight 50amp ESC)
After completing my build I discovered an issue with the iFlight Succex 50 amp ESC. Due to supply issues iFlight has changed the MCU for the ESC multiple times. According to their website it went from F051 MCU changed to G071 MCU. But they fail to mention that in-between they released AT LEAST ONE BATCH with a different CKS MCU. It comes with BL Heli 32 V32.8 which when used with RPM filtering will give a constant 1% to 3% error rate. With V32.7 loaded it will give a .5% to 1% error rate with DShot 600 and an error rate of 0% with DShot 300. Personally I think this is kind of dishonest to be selling to people as if they were a regular ESC when they know that it won't run RPM filtering error free. When I emailed them about it they told me that I should just buy another ESC if I wanted error free RPM filtering even though I was contacting them about a brand new ESC two weeks after purchasing it.
