Jason takes you through a wiring tutorial of the DSC PowerSeries NEO Alarm.com cellular module. He is working with the CD8080 in this video, but a GSM version is also offered called the 3G8080. The process is the same using either communicator version. He is installing this on the HS2032 NEO alarm panel.
Jason will show you where to wire to in the CD8080 and where to wire in the DSC NEO panel itself. For the project you'll need wire strippers, a relatively small flat head screw driver and some 22 gauge 4 conductor wire.
Alarm.com can be used for signal forwarding to a central station and they also have Residential and Commercial Interactive services that include an app for controlling your system and notifications of alarm status sent to you via email and text. There's also packages that include ZWave home automation.
