On Saturday, June 21st, 2014 the Bronx Music Heritage Center honored hip hop pioneer DJ Kool Herc as a Bronx Living Legend. The tribute concert, curated by Bronx hip hop group Rebel Diaz, featured Grandmaster Caz, Grandmaster Melle Mel, Grand Wizzard Theodore, Sadat X, AG, Circa 95, YC the Cynic, Bocafloja, and others. The outdoor concert attracted over 500 attendees to Louis Niné Boulevard as part of WHEDco and the BMHC's Bronx Summer Fest on the Boulevard.
