In this video I will show you how to transfer files between android phone and windows pc via ftp. By following this tutorial you can perform wifi file transfer from mobile to laptop and mobile to mobile. You can create the ftp from android to pc using wifi or hostpot regardless.

The only requirement for FTP file transfer on Android is that your Android device and PC should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If you don’t have Wi-Fi, you can create a hotspot and then use FTP.

1. On your phone, find and launch the Explorer app.
2. Tap the FTP button xiaomi_ftp_button_1 at the bottom of the screen.
3. Click Start server. You’ll now see the FTP address that you can enter into the FTP client. Tip: If you wish to be slightly more secure, you can tap Settings to set the client connection username & password.
4. On your Windows PC, launch the Windows Explorer, enter the FTP address into the Address Bar, and then press Enter to access the Xiaomi phone storage. Note: Enter the username & password if you need to.
5. Now, you can use the copy and paste or drag and drop method to transfer files between your Windows computer and Xiaomi phone.
