UPDATE: If your video does not list a "masterManifest" in Details, YT-DLP still works for YouTube with the video URL. Example: yt-dlp "h ttps://w ww.youtube.com/watch?v=wm0AuczqmRM" NOTE: Remove the spaces in "h ttps" and "w ww" first.
In the previous video, we covered using Firefox and the Video Downloadhelper extension to save online videos. This video shows how to use additional software called yt-dlp to further enhance your ability to save a local copy of an online video for your personal enjoyment.

For Linux users (it should work for MacOS too) you can install the latest version of yt-dlp software directly and easily from the terminal using the following two commands:
NOTE: Remove the space in "h ttps" first.
sudo wget h ttps://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/releases/latest/download/yt-dlp -O /usr/local/bin/yt-dlp
sudo chmod a+rx /usr/local/bin/yt-dlp
