Well, more like Jay finds out and Nate kind of just stands there.

*Spoilers for Kingdom: a lot of this is build up to what happens. Actual confrontation starts at 8:36.

Nate Kulina (played by Nick Jonas) is a young MMA fighter who happens to be gay. He's a pretty compelling character in himself and I'm happy that his character's struggles did not revolve around simply being gay as some earlier LGBTQ+ characters' stories were. However, living in such a "macho" world and simultaneously living openly as a gay man clearly scares the shit out of Nate and he knows there would be consequences if he ever comes out. Essentially, he goes through 30 episodes without telling a single person besides Will (his sort of love interest bc he's not really a boyfriend and it's kind of fucked up how they know each other at all) that he is gay and that's only because Jay (his older brother played by Jonathan Tucker) happens to come across evidence that Nate is hiding his sexuality from the world. Nate has nothing to worry about though because Jay is fully accepting- even if he does make some cringey jokes about Nate's sex life at the end. Still, I know he means well and that he's just trying to bring a smile to Nate's usually impassive face. Perhaps this means we'll see Nate smile more than once every episode now.

*End spoilers

Nate's sexuality is just one element to his story and is an even smaller part to the story of the Kulina family and friends as a whole. Seriously, go check it out.

These scenes take place at the end of Season 2 (episodes 18, 19, and 20). Also, the sound's kind of shitty so I added subtitles.
