How to clean a shag rug. In this video i teach you how to clean a shag pile rug like a pro. The tutorial will show you how to properly vacuum your shag pile rug using three different methods, but it will also teach you how to wash your shag rug too. The most important step is actually vacuuming your shag rug, this will make or break your cleaning attempt!
Shag rug cleaning isn't difficult but it is time consuming.
To clean a shag rug you will need:
- a leaf blower (this is optional!)
- a household vacuum with a mechanical brush or beater bar
- a shopvac or wet/dry vac
- dish soap
- rubbing alcohol
- a spray bottle
