Partner Spotlight: MCSO MASH Unit

On any given day, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Animal Safe Haven Unit (MASH Unit) can have over 100 animals in its care. These animals are often victims of abuse or neglect.

PetSmart Charities is dedicated to supporting programs that celebrate the human-animal bond and the positive effects pets have on the lives of people. The MASH Unit can have a transformative effect on inmates and their rehabilitation, while also helping abused animals rebuild their trust in others, build new skills and get the much-needed care before finding their adoptive family. PetSmart Charities is committed to supporting the new MASH facility as the program aligns with our core values of helping pets in need and helping all pets find a life-long, loving home.
