Dot in Space (1994)

The ninth and final chapter of the weird and wonderful Dot ennealogy, and the one film that oddly never made it onto the Aussie Kids TV channel nor anybody else's channels following its removal here, 80's Australia's favourite barefoot activist sadly ditches her photographic surroundings for a fully hand-painted environment, but ends up in a foreign, divided society, incarcerated and demoralised by an authority who does not believe she is welcome or legal, which sends this little girl fighting tooth and nail, crossing the farthest reaches of this newfound country to abolish a slave trade and overthrow a fascist regime. In space, no less.
