Helicopter Wire Stringing

What's the best way to string power lines on 150-foot-tall utility towers?  Using a helicopter is cost-effective and fast, allowing linemen to accomplish in a half-day what otherwise would take four or five days to complete.  When finished later this year, TEP's new Pinal Central to Tortolita 500 kilovolt transmission line will boost electric reliability in Southern Arizona. It's just one way TEP is working to meet Tucson’s future energy demands.
