Broken Cartridge Leads to Speedrunners Beating Dragon Quest 3 in 8 Seconds!

Since the Hotplate Glitch a lot has been done with Dragon Quest 3 to push the time lower. Creating an "Anything Goes" category, the community has pushed the time to under 10 seconds through two incredible methods, both being developed by Pirohiko and ran by Hitshee.
