This Video is about how you can check Income Tax Return Filling Status online on FBR Official Website which will help you to verify and Confirm either your Annual Tax Return is Filed or Not.
In this Tutorial video which helps accountants to learn taxation in Pakistan.
Annual Income Tax Return need to be filed by each taxpayer every year as per prescribed time by the Tax Authority of Pakistan named Federal Board of Revenue.
If a Taxpayer does not file Annual Tax Return then the taxpayer will be called Non-filer and will be removed from the Active Taxpayer list of income tax in FBR Official Records.
The reason why you need to check a Taxpayer Return filling status on FBR website is to ensure either your Tax Consultant, Accountant or Tax Lawyer have filed your return.Secondly Withholding Tax Deduction rate are different for Filer and Non-Filer and you can be able to deduct correct amount of WTH tax if you know your supplier is return filing status.For example WTH tax on supplies of Goods are 5% for Filer / ATL and 10% on Non-Filer /Not on ATL.
To avoid any wrong rate of deduction follow the appropriate practices other you will face consequences of payment by your own or difficulties in Adjustment with your supplier.
