This group wants to please you. Use that natural inclination for behavior issues.
Use the antsy students to answer your teaching questions (Anthony, can you show me the Social Studies book, I'm not sure I know what it looks like). 2nd 3rd graders love looking smart.
If the class as a whole is misbehaving, call the office to have a resource specialist come in to assist. Most schools have someone that can be pulled out of another class to assist you. The resource person will know all the students names and history. It's very helpful.
