Silverman recalls her first experiences with theater growing up in New Hampshire, in a household where Broadway music was always on. She discusses seeing "The King and I" at the age of six; performing in elementary, high school and local productions of "Annie", "Oliver" and "Sweet Charity". She talks moving to New York City, which was sparked by the trips she took to see shows like "Les Misérables" on New Year's Eve."
