These barriers to effective listening interfere with the listener's ability to understand the speaker's message.
Being an effective listener would definitely improve your public speaking skills therefore, it is very important that you are able to identify these listening barriers and take proactive steps to eliminate them in every speech.
I used the mnemonic 3 Ps that is, PPPS to help you remember these 4 types of noise that are most relevant to public speaking:
P - Physical Noise
P - Physiological Noise
P - Psychological Noise
S - Semantic Noise
