Troubled edtech startup Byju's, which has laid off more than 10,000 employees in the last two years, is beginning another round of layoffs.

This time, the company is laying off employees through phone calls without putting them on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) or having them serve a notice period.

According to reports, the number of employees affected in this round could be between 100 and 500.

Sharing the incident, a Byju's employee received a surprising call from the company's human resources department.

During the call, the HR executive informed him that the company had decided to terminate his employment.

When he inquired about the reason, he was told that it was the company's decision and that his March salary and termination pay would be included in his full and final settlement (FnF).
