2023 at a glance – Reform support in Members states

DG REFORM has been the spearhead of an “EU that supports” Member States to deliver on their reform plans. In 2023, with 326 reforms and 151 projects, all 27 member states have benefited from the Technical Support Instrument. The ComPAct initiative was also launched in 2023, including 25 concrete actions for improved public administration, emphasizing EU competitiveness and better public services. At the same time, efforts were stepped up to support Cyprus reunification through closer ties and Turkish Cypriot community development. The mission continues into 2024 with a renewed commitment to support reforms and enhance cooperation.
