Thanks to #IVF treatments with egg donation, many women can fulfill their dream of becoming mothers. However, the decision to undergo such a fertility treatment is not always easy.

When undergoing treatments involving gamete or embryo donation, it is possible to feel some level of disappointment or frustration about not being able to pass on one's genetic make-up. This is called "genetic grief". However, a child is not only the result of the genes they were given; there are other factors that influence them, such as upbringing or the environment, and also #EPIGENETICS.

Epigenetics act as a bridge between genes and the environment. Meaning the environment can cause certain changes in the genetic expression (without changing the DNA sequence) so that, for example, certain traits may manifest as opposed to others. These changes can occur throughout a person's life, including during embryonic development in the womb.

In this webinar, Dr Héctor Izquierdo talks about this fascinating topic and answers all questions during a final Q&A session.
