Candidates are called for an interview at one of the Air Force Selection Boards located in Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar, or Varanasi. The AFSB interview assesses the candidate's personality, communication skills, leadership qualities, and suitability for the Indian Air Force where various psychological tests are conducted to evaluate the candidate's mental aptitude, intelligence, and psychological suitability for a career in the Indian Air Force. These tests include the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), Word Association Test (WAT), Situation Reaction Test (SRT), and Self-Description Test (SD).
