www.timothyroe.com/ Timothy Roe display their Jewellery design process. Featuring the latest CAD technology and 3D printing, Timothy Roe are able to create any design or concept that you can imagine. There are multiple stages to designing a bespoke piece of jewellery. Once a customer has given a design brief, a 3D virtual model is made in CAD software. Images of this are sent to the customer for approval. Once the 3D virtual model is approved, a Solidscape 3D printer is used to construct the virtual model in a specially formulated wax. When this wax model is complete, it is sent to Timothy Roe's in-house caster and expert goldsmith - who sets about 'investing' the wax ring components into flasks, ready to be cast into designated precious metals When the jewellery components are ready, they are assembled, soldered and polished. Then, the stones are set into the jewellery. The jewellery is then polished again and cleaned. For case studies of Timothy Roe's bespoke jewellery design, visit the blog: www.timothyroe.com/blog/
