Use of sandalwood powder or sandalwood paste will only dry up the skin. So an individual who has an oily skin probably uses a sandalwood powder or sandalwood paste may help to reduce the oily secretions and make the skin dry, probably indirectly help in to reduce the pimples. But on black patches it has no effect.
