Check in was smooth and done in the lobby whilst I was served a refreshing welcome drink.

After all the paperwork was completed we were driven by buggy to our room - *Ocean View Escape, 1 Bedroom Villa, 1 King, Ocean facing view, Private pool.*

There’s a decent sized pool that was mostly empty as each villa has their own private pool. As well as a modern gym. I ended up booking a massage at the AWAY Spa which was relaxing.

One of the unique features the property has is the Sweet Spot where guests can enjoy a free flow of ice cream, water and soft drinks. They’re is a few around and luckily for me, the closest one was only a few metres from our room.

One thing to note is that because the hotel is so massive, we had to call a buggy to go to any restaurant or facility.

Another feature of the W Koh Samui is the private beach, which is the perfect place to unwind and relax.

In terms of dining options at W Koh Samui, there’s plenty of choices.

Starting with the breakfast buffet which is served at The Kitchen Table. The buffet is incredible and has an extensive range of hot and cold dishes including pastries, noodle station, Thai dishes, egg station, salad bar, fresh fruit, juice station, dessert station, fresh coconut.  

For lunch we ate at SIP Bar which is located on the beach and serves up both Asian and Western dishes such a rice bowls and burgers.

The in room dining was fantastic, we stuck with the Thai dishes and each one was delicious.

And for dinner, we headed to Namu, one of Koh Samui’s most popular Japanese eateries – think sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki and vegetarian dishes served in minimalist ambience.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the W Koh Samui, the room was well designed, service was friendly but prompt, and the dining options were fantastic.
