یکی از کهن‌ترین سبک‌های آوازی موسیقی لری در استان‌های کهگیلویه و بویراحمد و خوزستان سروخوانی (شروه خوانی) بهمئی است. این آوازها که در سوگ درگذشتگان خوانده می‌شود از نظر لحن مشابه آوازهایی یاریار (آوازهای عاشقانه) است و تنها تفاوت در ابیات است که تعیین می‌کند این آوازها برای تازه درگذشته است یا نجوای عاشقانه.
One of the oldest vocal styles of Lori music in the provinces of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad and Khuzestan is Soroo khani (serve khani) of Bahmai. These songs, which are sung in the mourning of the deceased, are similar in tone to Yayar songs (love songs), and the only difference is in the verses that determine whether these songs are for the recently deceased or romantic whispers.
