How do you clean a water tower?

Have you ever wondered how water towers are inspected to make sure they are clean and safe? All of Plano's 10 elevated water towers and 11 ground storage tanks undergo regular inspections. If the tank has water in it, contractors use a robot camera that swims around, looking for any sediment or debris that may have accumulated. If there is no water in the tank, someone actually goes inside to inspect it.  Based on what the contractor finds, we schedule cleaning or maintenance.
