Various shots of a caravan heading across the desert, Arab families on the move towards Cairo to escape the war.  Ground to air shots of a squadron of Boston Bombers.  General view of Pyramids and Sphinx.  M/S of two Arabs on camels.  L/S of Pyramids as trucks pass in foreground with supplies for the front.  



Various shots in the front line at El Alamein where bare-chested British troops are digging fortifications and preparing gun emplacements.  Sappers at work laying a mine field in the desert.  During desert advance the tanks move along in clouds of sand dust; behind them follow troops of a Guard Regiment.  They walk through the dust with bayonets fixed.  



Recently captured German prisoners of the 90th Light Motorised Division are searched before being interrogated and sent to prison camp.



At a desert aerodrome we see Kittyhawks of the Sharknose Squadron and Boston Bombers taking off.  Air to air shots of the bombers of the SAAF (South African Air Force).  They see a desert enemy column on the move, head in and start bombing.  Sticks of bombs falling towards the targets below.  They hit the sand and explode.  



M/Ss of Australian troops in their encampment.  Soldiers of a tank recovery unit are hauling a tank with chains when they hear a German plane overhead and leap to take cover.  Several shots of General Auchinleck out in the desert.  He talks to some soldiers.
