Celebrating 4th of July on a deserted island in Charleston, SC

A little July 4th action with friends as we took the boats out to Deveaux Bank bird sanctuary off Seabrook and North Edisto islands.

We try to do this every Independence Day, as the island is sparse, and not many places to anchor the boat ensures that we have plenty of space to spread out. Plus, the Salute From the Shore flies RIGHT over this spot. Nothing inspires more patriotism than giant C17s rumbling overhead with people waving their USA flags in the air.
