My Boy Blue Plaque Lolliipop — Millie Small

In 1964 Jamaican born Millie Small, sang her version of My Boy Lollipop at the age of 17, which became an instant international hit, and was one of the first commercially successful Ska tunes of the genre. Today, October 28th 2023, nearly 60 years later Nubian Jak Community Trust unveiled one of their famous Blue Plaques to honour her, at the house where Millie lived for many years in West London. The song: My Boy Lollipop, helped launch Chris Blackwell's Island Records onto the international stage.
