Jeff has seen a lot of players who use a continental grip and have the tendency to swing out to the target. Jeff recommends moving your continental grip slightly towards your forehand side.
He suggests focusing on a swing path that goes across your body,  simply an outside to inside swing path.

On the slice backhand, the tip of the racquet will be facing towards the net, and the strings will be facing up towards the sky when you finish your swing. Jeff prefers keeping the off hand right by the side pocket at the end of the shot. This concept will help you to develop feel and control first before power on your slice backhand. You can open your racquet face slightly at the beginning of your backswing, and it will close naturally as you make contact with the ball.

When practicing these tips on the court, start from the service line and work your way to the baseline afterwards. Remember to slow down your swing path and build solid fundamentals to hit a perfect slice backhand.
