Dropbox: Selective Sync on Mac OS

Quick Tip: Dropbox Selective Sync

Do you have Dropbox Installed on Mac? or PC?

This creates Dropbox Shortcut in Finder (Good thing)

Sync files on Mac to Dropbox (good thing)

Files also take up space on Mac (bad thing)

To fix: Use Selective Sync

Selective Sync tells Dropbox to remove files from Mac storage and only store on Dropbox

Click Dropbox icon in top Menu Bar
Click on Gear Icon
Click On Preferences
Click on Account (second tab)
Click on Selective Sync
Uncheck Folders to Remove From Mac storage
Folders will still be visible but not stored on Mac and only in Dropbox (good thing)
