Old School Essentials, Advanced Edition

My first experience with D&D was with the Moldvay and Cook Basic and Expert sets from the early 80’s. Old School Essentials takes those rules, faithfully re-presents them in a brilliant format, and adds rules for even more nuanced game play. It’s worth checking out.
