Sharing with you why I no longer use GLYCOLIC ACID in my skincare routine. How glycolic acid works and some amazing dupes.
Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin where today we are talking about Glycolic acid and why I no longer use glycolic acid in my skincare routine.
Glycolic acid is one of the most effective exfoliating acids and can help with acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, dark spots and ageing in the skin. However with a number of side effects which I want to call out I just think there are better options on the market and this is what I want to explore with you today.
Glycolic acid is a sugar cane derived AHA exfoliator which will speed up the rate of cellular turnover and help to bring back some vibrancy to the skin and smooth the skin texture. However with a risk of dryness, sensitivity and irritation, it is super important that you use a glycolic which is right for your skin type or better still one of the amazing alternatives.
