Here is the first part of a multi part series on Funk Drumming. This first video acts as an introduction. I show you my influences as well as several techniques I use to play this type of music. For source material, I am using the classic Funk book The Funk Drumming Workbook by Chet Doboe. This book is out of print, but you can find it online for download.
