Tonfa (Tuifa) Basic Blocks and Strikes

Thes are the first group of basic tuifa blocks taught in traditional Okinawan Isshin-ryu Kobudo (weaponry). ALL traditional kobudo is taught to defend against the bo. This video shows the blocks used against bo strikes, another section is taught to students to defend against thrusts.

The counter strikes shown come from the traditional strikes taught with the tuifa, however, these are improvised and shown for demonstration purposes only.
