Choices: Blades of Light and
Choices: Blades of Light and Shadow Book 2 Chapter 15 Human Route / Nia Route (Diamonds used)
This chapter felt so weak man, this book in its entirety feels very weak plot or story wise??? also no chapter previews after chapter 16 so how tf are they gonna end this in one chapter? will we go into another sequel with how things are going?? so many questions but no hint of any answers..
Starting off after reading the lore tablet my suspicions were right. there was a singular world where the people used true magic. it is their hunger for more magic, trying to maintain their immortality and using magic for literally everything led to the shadow world and light world's doom.
I mean all the 5 old gods except the 6th were just selfish in nature. although nifara is not alive she and her fellow gods divided the world and thus made the people suffer now as we see.
even though watcher was created full of light magic by the gods, that doesn't mean what he was doing (sealing off the rifts) is the right thing cause that's just dooming one society while the other thrives. instead, why couldn't they just work together, sure it would be troublesome at first but eventually they would learn to coexist.
also watcher's character was so unexplored, we just got his birth story but no power mention apart from the task of sealing rifts and he just dies. i almost felt nothing when that happened. i would actually feel more remorse if let's say valax died instead of that fraud.
moving on i think valax is going to have a change of heart for sure but it remains a mystery if the shadow empress is among the 5 old gods that were banished to shadow realm for the misuse of magic as stated by the lore tablet. maybe she's the sixth that's why the sixth member of the "separate the world commission" was not named in the lore tablet.
overall this book feels all over the place and MC feels so dumb going on these quests to seal off the rifts when his mind questions the morality of it all but refuses to act upon it.
