The multiple linear regression tests
The multiple linear regression tests the influence of at least two independent variables (= predictors) on a dependent variable. In the run-up to an empirical study or data collection for the multiple linear regression, the necessary sample size must be determined. As of late, you can even do that in SPSS.

The minimum sample size depends on the assumed effect (f² or R²) the alpha level, the statistical power and the number of predictors.
At the end, I show examples of different minumum sample size for the multiple linear regression with different characteristics of the input parameters mentioned using G*Power
