Episode 6: The Latin League – 640 BCE (Season 1).

In 640 BCE Rome was ruled by the fourth legendary king of the cities early days. Ancus Marcius had taken over from Tullus Hostilius and with it the growing tensions within the Latium plain. Rome had been expanding its influence within recent years and the other Latin towns of the plain felt it was needed to offer some resistance. During this time period the early signs of the formation of the Latin League was showing. Some towns joined together and pushed back against the ever expanding city of Rome.

Note:
